VSI - View Student Info Update and Frequently Asked Questions

You must have an account with a login and password to log in to VSI. To apply for an account, download the VSI application form and return it to the counselor at your student's school.

If you have trouble logging in to VSI, please read the following Frequently Asked Questions to see if the solution to your problem is listed.

1) How do I get to the VSI website?

The link to VSI can also be found under the Parent Information link in the menu bar above.

Make sure that you enter the full address in the address bar at the top of your Internet browser. Entering the address in a search field on the Google page or other search engine will not work.

Once you visit the website, be sure to bookmark it or add it to your favorites.

Minimum browser requirements:

• FireFox 1.5 or higher
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
• Safari (or any WebKit browser) 2.0 or higher

2) Why doesn’t my password work?

You must copy the password exactly as it appears in the letter that you received from Brenham ISD. Your password is caSe sEnsiTive and must be copied exactly as it is printed. Most passwords have an asterisk (*) at the end, and you must include it.

The first time you log in, you will be asked to change your password. You will have to enter your old password. The “old password” is the one that you were assigned in the letter that you received from Brenham ISD within the last six weeks. Your “old password” does NOT mean your password from last year.  Make sure you enter all fields on the webpage before you click “Update Account Information.”

3) Can I change my username?

No, you cannot. You can only change your password.

4) I have more than one child in the school district. Can I view all my children's grades using one username?

Yes. The BISD VSI.Net administrator can set up your account to have access to your BHS and BJHS students under one username. Please call 979.277.3760 for assistance.

5) I cannot see any of my child’s grades. What should I do?

Click on the + plus sign to the left of the folder to open it.

6) How frequently is my child's data updated?

Immediately. Access to your child's grades, attendance and lesson plans is real-time. That means as soon as a teacher or administrator enters information in the system, it is available for you to access.

7) What should I do if I have questions about my child’s grades?

Contact your student’s teacher.

8) What should I do if I have questions about my child’s schedule?

Contact your student’s counselor.

9) I am having trouble with the VSI website. What should I do?

Contact the BISD Information Technology Department at 277.3760. Please note that Brenham ISD cannot guarantee access to the VSI website. We cannot provide assistance with your Internet connection or computer. Please direct those questions to your Internet provider or computer technician. Remember that the speed of your connection will have a direct impact on how quickly you can access the web page. Brenham ISD will make a diligent effort to insure that grade and attendance data are posted to the website in a timely manner.
